Public events and seminars on cooperation and decent work

Romania:

One-day seminar on the topic of “Decent Work and its perception in the Romanian society” was held on the 7th of October 2013 (World Day of Decent Work) in Bucharest.

„AUR“ –A.N.S.R.U. organised together with Cartel ALFA a one-day seminar, with the participation of relevant stakeholders, mass media and the first target group of the training course. Due to the fact that this was the first one day seminar organized under the “Multiplying Decent Work - Decent Life” project in Romania, both Romanian organizations decided to organize this seminar as a public debate on the topic of Decent Work and its perception in the Romanian society. Cecilia Gostin, trainer within Cartel ALFA, facilitated the seminar.

Austria:

During the 1st year, 3 seminars were held at national level, as following:

24 – 29 of April 2013  Seminar in the Trade Union School Rohrbach (2 x 3 hours)

23rd of May 2013       Seminar in the Trade Union School Linz (3 hours)

Poland:

During the 1st year, 3 seminars were held at national level, as following:

10.10.2013                Event in Cracow at the Institute of Sociology, Jagiellonian University    
                                The seminar was focused on decent working conditions in global consumer industries.

19.10.2013                Event in Cracow in the frame of the Watch Docs Film Festival
                                The seminar was focused on decent working conditions in global  consumer industries.
                                Number of attendants: 14

7.12.2013                  Event in Torun in the Center for the Contemporary art
                                The seminar was focused on decent working conditions in global garment  industry.

Bulgaria:

During the 1st year, 5 one-day seminars were held at national level, as following:

7.10.2013       Round table on topic: Decent work in Bulgaria, Sofia, CITUB

Lithuania:

During the first year Women's Issues Information Center organized 3 seminars (as long version of 4 to 6 hours) for various audiences in Lithuania.

2013.05.22-23   Mazeikiai, seminar for “Motivating elderly women to be active at the labour  market”.
                        A 2 days seminar where 4 hours were dedicated to the “Decent Work- Decent Life!” promotion and presentation.                                

2013.10.02-04   Druskininkai,  “Gender equality at employment area – perfect investment!”
                        2 days seminar, where 4 hours were dedicated to “Decent Work-Decent life!” promotion and presentation.

2013.08. 22-23   Palanga, “How to become family friendly enterprise” 38 participants from different cities in Lithuania representing various Trade Union branches. 6 hours  were dedicated to “Decent work-decent life!” promotion and presentation.

                                  

Brazil:

The seminars’ designs are developed, following to be presented starting with March 2014.  One seminar design is focused on decent work for young workers and the second seminar design is designed for the 1st semester of 2014 and addressed to migrant workers and NGOs related to the insertion of migrants on the labour market and in the Brazilian society.
